Jordan Sisters Dopamine Menu

 

So the Jordan sisters are hopping onto the TikTok trend and sharing our version of a “dopamine menu” to inspire yours. If you are not familiar with the trend, it’s basically people on tiktok posting a slide of the elements in their life that spike their dopamine and make them feel happier.

As you may know… dopamine is a known as the feel-good hormone.  When dopamine is released, it can make us feel good, improve attention, mood, memory, etc. We scroll through our phones because we are always getting quick hits of dopamine. However, creating your dopamine menu will allow you to acknowledge the craving for dopamine and switch scrolling through your phone for one of the things you put on your menu!

The Jordan Sister Dopamine Menu:

Being near a body of water brings us a sense of freedom. We simply love spending time swimming or out boating on the water.

Nothing like putting on a record and making a delicious meal with the fam. We are grateful to have such a close family. When we are all together & there’s nothing better than bonding over the prepping of dinner.

I’m sure many of you know, exercise is known to circulate higher levels of dopamine. The Jordan sisters prioritize getting in some form of exercise every day, whether it’s walking, strength training, pilates or leisure bike ride together. Exercise elevates our moods and is extremely helpful for reducing anxiety.

We know we are always talking about hot & cold therapy BUT, this is also scientifically known to release dopamine. The Jordan sisters are always finding a sauna and cold plunge wherever we go to get this in at least once a week. (If you don’t have access to a cold plunge have a cold shower!)

Whether it’s putting on a record or listening to music in the car, music brings us to life. We are also lucky that our dad is always strumming away on the guitar, an outlet for him and a dopamine kick for us.

Growing up in a small town/country we have always had the privilege of being surrounded by an abundance of nature. The more time we spend in the city, we have discovered the best versions of us come out when we prioritize spending time outside and grounding ourselves.

Nutbar. If you’re from Toronto or the next time you’re visiting, this needs to be the first thing on your to do list. Nowhere compares. Their menu is pure dopamine for the Jordan sister’s. We always feel good getting any of their goods as it’s all superfoods sourced from clean ingredients.
