Founders of The Hut Smoothie and Juice Bar: Managing Relationships, Standing out from the Ordinary, and Staying Authentic

The Hut Smoothie & Juice Bar

You may know these sisters for taking over the Muskoka wellness market with their popular smoothie bars, or for their latest venture, opening a permanent location of The Hut in Toronto.

Founded in 2020, Sydney and Ashley started The Hut as a small smoothie stand which has now evolved into a full-service establishment. The Hut offers a variety of beverages, food items and a retail space.

In this week’s episode, we sit down with the Hut girls to take a behind-the-scenes look at the journey of launching The Hut. We discuss everything—from overcoming challenges like balancing start-up demands with personal life to staying ahead of changing wellness trends.

The Hut Smoothie and juice bar not only has a 10/10 menu, but their store also has the vibes. Weather you’re looking for a place to sit and do work, or to go an browse your favourite healthy snacks, this is the spot. For any of the TO locals, picture coco market x smoothie bar. Abby and I immediately spotted our favourite goods at their location, they have Cymbitotica, Siete, Ripe bone broth, Bink water bottles (Abby and I want one SO bad) and soooo much more. We highly recommend stopping by, for your next smoothie or to restock on the essentials.

Abby and I really enjoyed recording with the Hut girls, as we share a similar experience, starting something we are passionate about with our sisters, AKA our built in best friends <3.

The insider takeaways from the recording:

“If you put your mind to something and you really want it and are passionate about it, no matter what people say, you can do it.”

“Social Media is a highlight reel of people’s lives” - So let’s just say, take the content we see every day with a grain of salt.

Don’t let peoples doubts in your success get to you, use it to fuel the motivation and fire within.

The Menu Favorites

Ashley’s go to smoothie, tropical sunshine (the ingredients: strawberries, mango, honey, coconut water, freshly squeezed orange juice)

Sydney’s go to smoothie, The Green Machine (the ingredients: pineapple, mango, banana, spinach, coconut water, and fresh ginger)

Abigail & I’s personal fav item is their celery juice. All of their juices are freshly squeezed and nourishing. (+ the digestion benefits of celery juice!)
