GATO Founder Gaby: Building a Brand, Taking an Untraditional Career Route & Owning Every Chapter

GATO is all about redefining indulgence. It’s a treat for every occasion, something sweet that doesn’t compromise on whole, nourishing foods. Just like us, Gabi’s mission is to fuel your body to feel its best while still enjoying the little things. This passion led her to crafting the recipe for sweet treat lovers, a dessert thats guilt-free, made with clean ingredients, and seriously satisfying.

The journey of GATO began with Gabi’s health journey. Working with a functional medicine doctor, Gabi was working on feeling her best through food. Following a paleo diet 90% of the time, Gabi found herself looking for a sweet tooth fix. She curated a whole food, and flavourful dessert; gluten free, dairy free, paleo, checking all of the boxes.

GATO all started out with homemade dates, ordering through direct messages and pickup from home. GATO has now evolved into a brand that is selling in LA cafe favourites, and farmers market all over the city.

A look at Gabi’s career path so far, and proof that your first job likely won’t define your whole career…

“I’ll try something, and if it fails, I’ll try something else” is the mindset Gabi has carried with her, and it’s shaped the way she’s approached her journey. She’s explored so many industries, from Hollywood acting to real estate, wellness, and now owning a (whole foods) dessert company. Her path hasn’t been linear, but that’s what makes it inspiring.

So, from one sister to another; don’t stress if your first (or second) job doesn’t feel like “the one.” Careers are like dating, it takes a few tries before you find the right fit.

Gabi truly does is all, she’s personal trainer in EMS training, Reformer & Mat pilates, and prenatal Pilates.

Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS) is a low-impact, high-intensity workout method. It uses gentle electrical impulses to activate your muscles, helping them contract more deeply and efficiently. A 30-minute EMS session can deliver the benefits of a 90-minute traditional workout. SIGN US UP!!

As always, we are asking Gabi to share her advice to her 20 year old self:

“Don’t be afraid of failure. When you’re building a brand, you need to know how to pick yourself back up because there will be so many highs and so many lows. Always celebrate and enjoy the highs”.

Tune into this weeks episode for Gabi’s WIEID paleo style, and some of Gabi’s favourite forms of movements & instructors!!
