Are You Lazy Or Burned Out? How to Reset And Recharge This spring.
Jordan sisters here <3
Spring is finally here, and we could not be more excited to embrace the spring glow. I’d say I get February scaries whereas Abby says its March for her. Either way, we are moving into a fresh and clean girl Spring.
First things first, Abby is leaving her oversized hoodies and leggings in the closet and swapping for a tighter, more shaped outfit. For me, I’m so excited to channel my wellness Alo girl look as soon as I get back to Canada. This means, Bala weight hot girl walks on repeat in matching sporty sets.
On the to do list for Spring: haircut, nails done, and getting the f*ck outside to soak up all the sunshine.
Are you Lazy or Burnt Out?
The winter often brings this lazy or burnt-out conversation to surface.
For the University students, you might be feeling like you’re struggling to stay motivated last few weeks of classes or pushing through finals. Similarly, Abby can relate to this “burnt-out” feeling when working for a corporation, downtown Toronto.
Relatable? This might be your sign for a break!
Tips to overcome your Burnt-out sate:
Reflect on whether the job you’re doing is driving your passion or running you to the ground. Make a shift to your work/life balance, take an extra hour out of your day to go outside
Start prioritizing yourself over the job you’re in
Take breaks, you shouldn’t always be in “Go mode”
That being said… I want to be clear that it is so important to do hard things in life. Abby loves to remind me that stressful positions can drive self-growth. When is become chronic stress, this is when you need to reflect on making that shift with your daily habits.
Jordan sister tips of how to stay productive & motivated:
Get up and move… OFTEN! I don’t know about you, but I cannot sit down for 8 hours straight. A quick block walk or going to fill up your water bottle will do the trick.
Productivity timers just don’t work for us. Instead, turn on a podcast or a Playlist, once it’s over use this as your sign to get some movement in.
Set realistic expectations, Abby and I only have set one priority for the day. Stop making a list of 15 things you want to get done on an hour-by-hour timeline. Shift your mindset to being productive rather than just getting the “thing done”.
A University hack I lived by was setting the due date a date before it was “actually” due in my calendar to give myself an extra day of room for error or edits.
Stop wasting your time writing down the little things on your to do list
If you have resources, use them. If you can pay someone less than what you have titled yourself as being worth, delegate it.
Listen to Soakk frequencies! We swear by this throughout the entire day.
